Willamette Valley – Wine Country Region Of The Year!
It Has Been A Big Year.
In September 2017, The Allison celebrates the eighth anniversary of its founding. Words cannot express how wonderful it has been being the “living room” of Oregon Wine Country these last several years, and how much we look forward to the future. Thank you to our community, friends, and guests for being part of our continued growth – we couldn’t do it without you.
As you know, Oregon is famous for many things. Its beautiful ocean beaches, expansive mountain ranges, and – fun fact – we have more ghost towns than any other state in the country. As a coffee and foodie destination, Oregon is also home to many internally known companies. But perhaps one of the biggest feathers in our cap right now is the fact that the Willamette Valley was named the “2016 Wine Country Region of the Year” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, beating out major grape-growing region contenders, like Champagne, Sonoma, and Provence.
Come for the pinot; stay for the chardonnay – this is a recent trend for those exploring Wine Country and plays to the diversity of the region. While pinot is king, Oregon chardonnay has taken her seat on the throne as queen. So be sure that while on your wine tasting adventures, you seek out those making their mark in the chardonnay game.
